Edit: The face style was bothering me, so I went back to lose the stylized look I've been falling back on. :/ I think it's a lot more consistent now. (although brings to point that I need to study realistic faces more)

Ah... I had a lot to say about this guy, but I'm soo bloody tired...

Alright, so this was inspired by a blue jay that was dying on my front lawn last week and was soon covered in a late snowfall. As I was drawing my brain started... err... rambling, as I was thinking what a blue jay represented to me, and it grew from there. That mixed with the funky bird/human look that I had started with my Rooster pic, and my whole journey to find my voice as an artist, I ended up deciding to make a story with illustrations as a big project to try and get done by the end of next year (or whenever. The point is to complete it.) So... yeah. You only get a mini version, and a detail 'cus I have plans for this pic, and am paranoid because I love how it came out. XD

On another note-- I am not a comic artist. Just like although I like to sing rock music, I am not a rock singer, I am a classical singer. I have to remind myself this because apparently I've been swept away for a while and didn't notice. I am not a comic artist. You know, when I first posted on DA it was of inkworks like this. Not as skilled at the time, but still, this was where I was headed. And then I was sidetracked for 3 years. @_@ I mean, no regrets. I learned a lot (still am), and gained a lot of confidence by joining DA and conversing with you all. I don't think I'd have ever gotten this far without you wonderful people helping me. But now it's time to get back on track. Soo... I hope you don't hate the new stuff I'll be doing. I really want to focus on the finer side of art, and use the skills I've acquired over the years instead of trying to change an incompatible style to suit me. Likely a lot more paintings and detailed inkworks. And if you do hate it >_>;;; eeep, sorry but I can't stop myself from evolving to this next level.
